Ken Gagne is the host of the Polygamer and IndieSider audio podcasts, where he intervews marginalized voices in the gaming industry. He is host of the YouTube channel Gamebits, a freelance writer for Computerworld, and an adjunct faculty member in the publishing department of Emerson College.

Presentation 2: Getting Started with WP-CLI

WP-CLI is a set of command-line tools for managing WordPresss installs. Don’t be scared off by the command line — in this talk I will walk you through the basics of WP-CLI and illustrate how much time can be saved by administering WordPress via the command line instead of the admin interface.

Bio

Christian Nolen is the Technical Director at emagine, a 50–person digital agency that specializes in custom WordPress solutions. At emagine, Christian mentors a team of WordPress developers and drives all of the agency’s web development innovation.

Over the past 12 years, Christian has held positions in technical support, software quality assurance and web development: giving him a unique perspective on the development life cycle. Christian uses this experience to craft sustainable solutions that not only meet the requirements of the client, but also anticipates their future needs.
